BA Results for January

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

I’ve now received all the results for January and we managed to win all of the Recurve matches, but lost both the Compound matches. This means that after 3 months, all the teams have won 2 out of 3 matches, apart from the Junior Portsmouth team, so it’s crucial that we get as many as possible to shoot in the last two months. The next Portsmouth match is on February 12th ( numbers limited to 20 ) and Frostbite on February 19th, weather permitting.

Selby League Results

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

The results for June were a bit disappointing, as we lost both the Recurve matches and the Compound match. The Longbow team, however had better luck as their opposing team Harlequin, did not put in a score.
The results for July should all be in soon, but in the meantime, we have another match this sunday ( 14th August ), so I hope as many as possible will turn up to shoot. Please arrive early to help set up, as the match should start by 10am.

Albion Match against Plumpton

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

The first Albion match this year ended in a win for Plumpton, 2092 to 1804.
The weather was pretty horrible, with heavy showers on and off from the start and after 6 dozen, we decided to abandon the match, because of prolonged heavy rain and rumbles of thunder. The adjustments for compound and barebow were reduced to -66 and +120, as only 6 of the 9 dozen arrows were shot and the final team scores were as follows :-
Plumpton -
Alan 550 (C), Martin 524 (C), Dave 512 (C), Steve 506 (R)
Ditchling –
John 471 (BB), Bob 463 (R), Ben 453 (R), Taff 417 (R)

Lets hope we do better against Worthing next month and that the weather is much better too.
