Albion Match against Plumpton

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

The first Albion match this year ended in a win for Plumpton, 2092 to 1804.
The weather was pretty horrible, with heavy showers on and off from the start and after 6 dozen, we decided to abandon the match, because of prolonged heavy rain and rumbles of thunder. The adjustments for compound and barebow were reduced to -66 and +120, as only 6 of the 9 dozen arrows were shot and the final team scores were as follows :-
Plumpton -
Alan 550 (C), Martin 524 (C), Dave 512 (C), Steve 506 (R)
Ditchling –
John 471 (BB), Bob 463 (R), Ben 453 (R), Taff 417 (R)

Lets hope we do better against Worthing next month and that the weather is much better too.

Albion League 2011

Saturday, April 16th, 2011

Ditchling are in Division 2 again this year and will be shooting against Worthing and Plumpton. All three clubs are in contact, so suitable dates should be known shortly, with one match being at home and one away. If available dates do prove to be a problem, because of the number of other shooting commitments within the clubs, then it may be that a 3-way match could be held.
