Here are the final positions from the summer Selby league 

The recurve and compound teams were unbeaten.

What a good result for the first year. Well done bob for all you hard work.

We had a clean sweep in August, with compounds beating Monklands C by 1273 – 1206, longbows winning 328 – 0 against Lichfield who didn’t get a score and recurves beating league- leaders Wolverhampton B 1597 – 1575. Both compounds  and recurves are now top of their divisions, with just the september shoot to do.

We still haven’t managed to shoot the Selby for July, so if anyone wishes to do it on Sunday 26th, please be over the field by 9.15 am for a 10 am start.

I’ll try to be there early, but can’t stay to shoot, as Emily has a competition in Berkshire.

Subject to the weather, the next Selby shoot will be this sunday, 19th July, starting at 10am, so please be over the field at 9.15 to 9.30 to help set up.

Hopefully, this time we can do all bow types on the same day.

Recurve ( Bob 544, Ben 533, John 506 ) – WON   1583 – 1459

Compound ( Rick 647, Annette 638 )       – WON    1275 – 1247

Longbow ( Cliff 187, Felicity 116 )              - LOST    479 – 303

The results of the Selby postal shoot for May are in and are as follows:-

Recurve ( Pip 532, Bob 524, John 429 )  – WON   1485 – 1479

Compound ( Alan 643, Rick 641 )               – WON   1276 – 1273

Longbow ( Felicity 168, Cliff 160 )              – LOST   416 – 328

We have entered the Selby Archers Summer Postal League.This is run in a similar way to the BA postal league and we have entered one team in each of the recurve, compound and longbow divisions.

There is one match a month in May through September.  The round is a Short Metric for recurves and compounds and a National for longbows.

The top three scores count for the recurve team and the top two for the compound and longbow teams.
